Electrical Lineworker Program Overview

At Linemen Institute of the North East, we don’t just train future lineworkers—we shape safety-conscious, job-ready professionals equipped for the demands of today’s utility industry. Our 15-week intensive Electrical Lineworker Program offers hands-on instruction, real-world experience, and the foundational skills you need to start a high-demand career with power companies, utility contractors, and co-ops across the country.

From the classroom to the pole yard, you'll be learning by doing—under the guidance of experienced instructors who’ve worked in the field.

Grow Your Vision

Our comprehensive training program focuses on the core skills and knowledge you need to enter the utility workforce with confidence:

  • Pole climbing and fall protection

  • Rigging, knot tying, and equipment handling

  • Overhead and underground line construction

  • Transformer and equipment installation

  • Electrical theory and troubleshooting

  • CDL training preparation (Class A & B)

  • OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certification

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) and job site safety

  • Live-line safety and hazard recognition

  • Interview and employment readiness

By the time you graduate, you’ll be ready to enter the field as a

pre-apprentice or groundman with the training and mindset that sets you apart from the competition.
