CRITERIA FOR APPLYING:

Must be enrolled the upcoming Fall 2026 Linemen Institute class at Linemen Institute of the North East.

And that's it! Get your application in today to potentially win $6,000 towards tuition and tools. We are currently accepting applications for our Fall 2026 scholarship and the due date for applications is August 17, 2026.

CRITERIA FOR APPLYING:

Must be a son or daughter of a Journeyman Lineman, or recommended by a Journeyman Lineman.

Applicant must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent GED.

Applicant needs to submit a letter of recommendation from their high school advisor or equivalent GED advisor and a friend or relative.

Applicant needs to write a letter to the Scholarship Committee on why they should be selected to receive the scholarship including your financial need.

Enroll in an approved program.

Sign the S.W.E.A.T. Pledge.

Answer 4 questions about the S.W.E.A.T. Pledge.

Make a video.
-
Have 2 solid references from a teacher or boss.

Verify your school costs.

Provide high school or college transcript.

Send your most recent 1040 tax form.

Available to eligible students who are unemployed or underemployed and reside in one of the following New York counties: Chenango, Delaware, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Lewis, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Otsego, or Schoharie.

Eligible Vermont residents may qualify for the VSAC Advancement Grant to help cover the cost of attending the Linemen Institute of the North East.
